Crowning Glory – Gold
This half-round hoop has an Italian flair to it. These are a half-hoop shape with a post and a spring-loaded Omega back closure that pops right over the post to lock the earring in place without having to slide on those super tiny butterfly backs that always seem to fall out of your fingers. These are a nice small size at 3/4″ from top to bottom. Because these are a bit thicker than most hoops, at 1.2″ thick/wide, they make a nice statement and do appear a bit visually larger than their true 0.75″ size. These are brushed gold with silver accents along the crown-design edge and along the center design of 5 triangles. Each section of the silver accent is set with 1 round sparkling stone, for a total of 14 stones on each earring. Although these definitely look much more gold than silver, these are good for someone who tends to wear both silver and gold jewelry, because these would go great with either one.
These weigh 6 grams per earring, so they are fairly lightweight on the ear. The base metal is sterling silver that has been sealed in 18kt gold vermeil to resist tarnishing when cared for properly, and there are some hints of platinum accents.
These also come in the brushed silver finish with tiny gold accents as well, as you'll see in some of the photos.
